There is something about creating and mixing colors that makes me happy. Painting gives me the freedom to experiment without knowing exactly where the canvas will take me. It has also taught me a lot about patience. Sometimes the best part of creating is slowing down, building layer by layer, and trusting the process. Stepping away is part of the work. Distance shows me what I'm really trying to communicate. I'll spend hours in my art studio without noticing the time, in painting clothes so covered in old projects they have become artwork of their own. All of the pieces below were created using acrylic paint on a 24x24 inch canvas.
